“…Ren's work [11] can detect ferromagnetic and non-ferromagnetic pollutants, but the detection accuracy is relatively low. The works of [14,16] can detect relatively high accuracy, but there is still an improved level. This paper designs a sensor for monitoring metal pollutants in oil.…”

“…Through the connection of two planar coil circuits, it can effectively detect four types of pollutants such as ferromagnetic, non-ferromagnetic particles, water droplets, and bubbles, but the detection accuracy is low. Shi et al [14] designed a high-gradient magnetic field sensor based on the structure of the double-coil, which improved the detection accuracy of the double-planar coil and was able to identify 30 µm iron particles and 100 µm copper particles. The double-coil structure used in the above detection method mainly uses the mutual inductance generated by the double-coil which is greater than the inductance value of a single coil.…”

“…The technology of sensor structure design includes the design of microfluidic sensor [15], the optimization design of sensor structure parameters [16], the design of new sensor detection structure [17], the design of sensor detection mode [18], the design of sensor internal magnetic field enhancement structure [19] and so on. With the development of microfabrication technology, the inductive detection method of oil contaminants based on microfluidic chips has been widely used, which improves the detection sensitivity of wear debris while sacrificing throughput.…”

“…However, because the offline detection process involves sampling, inspection, laboratory detecting, data analysis, etc., there are shortcomings such as high cost, long cycle, and the inability to reflect the real-time status of hydraulic oil. Online monitoring is a real-time detection method based on different principles of sensor, which mainly includes optical method [ 7 , 8 ], ultrasonic method [ 9 , 10 ], inductance method [ 11 , 12 ] and capacitance method [ 13 , 14 ]. Among them, the inductance method can distinguish between ferromagnetic and non-ferromagnetic metal debris and has the advantages of simple structure and reliable performance.…”
