An Improved MDS-MAP Localization Algorithm Based on Weighted Clustering and Heuristic Merging for Anisotropic Wireless Networks with Energy Holes

Abstract: The MDS-MAP (multidimensional scaling-MAP) localization algorithm utilize almost merely connectivity information, and therefore it is easy to implement in practice of wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Anisotropic networks with energy hole, however, has blind communication spots that cause loss of information in the merging phase of MDS-MAP. To enhance the positioning accuracy, the authors propose an MDS-MAP (CH) algorithm which can improve the clustering and merging strategy. In order to balance the effect of e… Show more

“…The literature describes the positioning technology of the sensor. Based on the introduction of the basic theory and terminology of positioning, combined with the key technical theoretical content, through the ranging technology, the application of the rationalization algorithm for the distance is realized [ 12 ]. The literature introduces the practical application of typical research and analysis theories, combined with error analysis of positioning algorithms, based on the revised RSSI value.…”

“…Positioning and tracking technology in WSN includes two meanings: node self-positioning and moving target positioning and tracking [28][29][30]. Node self-positioning belongs to the research scope of network middleware technology and belongs to the research part of network system [31,32]. The purpose is to provide information including node location for network routing layer and higher application layer services.…”
