An industrial perspective fermentative bioreduction of aromatic ketones by Penicillium rubens VIT SS1 and Penicillium citrinum VIT SS2

Abstract: Isolation and characterization of fungal cultures: Isolation and morphological identificationThe fungal cultures were isolated from soil using serial dissolution and selective spread plating in PDA, MEA and SDA. A single colony picked and streaked on PDA, MEA and SDBA after serial dissolution. Single purified colony inoculated to liquid media, PDB & SDA and incubated for 3 days at 25°C, 200 rpm. Grown cultures were streaked in PDB plates, after sporulation, preserved for the study.
