An Interaction Study of Chloro and Alkyl Substituted Benzylamine with DPPH● through UV Spectrophotometric and Physicochemical Methods at T = (298.15, 303.15 and 308.15) K

Abstract: Radical scavenging activity (RSA) of chloro and methyl substituted benzylamine derivatives (BADs) has been studied using 1, 1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl free radical (DPPH•) through spectrophotometric and physicochemical techniques at T = (298.15, 303.15 and 308.15) K. New experimental data on the density, sound velocity, isentropic and apparent molal compressibility of selected BADs + DPPH • solutions as a function of temperature and concentration are reported. The results are discussed with regards to structu… Show more

“…NCNDs showed significantly higher antioxidant ability (88% efficiency) when compared to carbon dots without an amine-rich shell or when coated with carboxylic groups (5% and 55% efficiency, respectively, for Arg-CDs and Cit-CDs, Figure S9). This activity, therefore, was ascribed to the presence of primary amino terminations, similar to previously reported (benzyl)amines, with the hydrogen-donating ability able to stabilize the free radicals . Next, we investigated the radical scavenging efficiency of our systems and focused, in particular, on the most fluorescent p -C 12 /[NTf 2 ]-NCND 0.1 ionogel, since an interesting relation between FLQY and radical scavenger efficiency has been recently reported for carbon dots solutions …”

“…Antioxidant or scavenging activities were determined on the basis of a free radical 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) scavenging effect [18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25]. Stock solution of DPPH (0.002%) was prepared with DMSO.…”

“…Therefore to overcome all these difficulties and to initiate new synergistic science of functional molecules, the Oscosurvismeter has been evolved which has been a great scientific vital tool to record the said physicochemical synergy of functional molecules together. The oscosurvismeter together measures osmotic pressures, conductance, surface energy, viscosity, pH., and isoelectric and isoionic points, to develop interdependence and to sort out degree of freedom [4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12]. …”
