An Interesting Case of Life-Threatening COVID-19 Pneumonia

Abstract

COVID-19 pandemic began in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. Almost 80% of the patients are asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic. About 15% require hospitalization and 5% need intensive care unit (ICU) admission. Cytokine release syndrome (CRS) is a life-threatening illness which has shown promising result with the use of tocilizumab. This case reports the importance of early recognition and appropriate management of this life-threatening illness.
