The article is based on a systematic review of the literature using the PRISMA methodology. The objective of the research was to identify the applications of cloud computing (CC) in the improvement of supply chain management (SCM). Search engines such as Scopus, PubMed, and IEEE Xplore were searched using keywords related to cloud computing, supply chain, and cloud computing applications. After filtering the articles, several CC applications in the supply chain were identified. These applications include the use of RFID and blockchain technology to improve asset transfer and inventory management, the use of machine vision and blockchain, RFID authentication protocols to improve supply chain target tracking, PLC-based smart farming systems, and cloud computing web applications, among others. The article highlights the benefits of using CC in the supply chain, such as reducing costs, improving productivity, and optimizing information management, security, and privacy when handling large volumes of data in the cloud. In summary, the study shows that CC has an important role in improving SCM and offers various applications that can benefit organizations in terms of efficiency and productivity.
