Abstract:Summary.
The incidence of re‐infection in scarlet fever patients has been examined in a material of 35 patients. Re‐infection occurred rarely—a total of two definite and three indefinite cases. All cases occurred in the same room in which nineteen children were accommodated during the period of examination. The author discusses the possible causes of the low incidence of re‐infection. Four of the re‐infected patients had complications.
