Abstract

Assessment is the process of gathering information about a student in order to make decisions abouthis or her education. Assessment is used for different purposes within different levels of the educationalsystem, for example external assessment in most cases serve as accountability measures and as aresult they induce teachers to devote significant amounts of instructional time to preparing students toexcel in these examinations even when those examinations do not match the curricula.
