An Investigation of the Relationship Between Selected Hotel Characteristics and Performance in the Extended Stay Hotel Segment

Abstract: As extended stay hotels gain in popularity across the US, it is important to understand how certain hotel factors influence their performance. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the relationship between selected hotel characteristics (location, scale, size, and operation arrangement) and its performance (revenue per available room (RevPAR)) in the US extended stay market.
