An investigation on the EPR parameters and tetragonal distortion for Cu$$^{\mathrm {2+}}$$ center in Mg(CH$$_{\mathrm {3}}$$COO)$$_{\mathrm {2}}\cdot $$ 4H$$_{\mathrm {2}}$$O Crystal
Abstract:High-order perturbation formulas of the electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) parameters for a 3d 9 ion in a tetragonally elongated octahedron (TEO) are applied to theoretical studies of the EPR parameters (i.e., g factors g || , g ⊥ and the hyperfine parameters A || , A ⊥ ) and local structure for Cu 2+ center in Mg(CH3COO)2• 4H2O (MAT). In the calculated formulas, the ligand orbital and spin-orbit coupling contributions are taken into account due to moderate covalency for the studied systems, and the related… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
