Abstract:The thermal decomposition of siderite and its decomposition products in a vacuum atmosphere was investigated for the first time using in situ high-temperature transmission Mössbauer spectroscopy. These measurements were supported by X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, X-ray fluorescence, and magnetic measurements. In situ Mössbauer spectra were collected from room temperature (RT) to 750 oC with a temperature step of 50 oC. After that, the sample was cooled down to RT with step 100 oC. Raw siderite samples … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
