“…Across relevant disciplines, gerontological and geriatrics educators have been working to improve the aging-related content of their professional training programs, but they encounter a variety of problems in these efforts (Dawson 1998). While professional training programs are concerned with providing a curriculum that will adequately prepare future geriatric-care personnel, it is also recognized that improving the effectiveness of geriatric services offered by a wide range of current practitioners is also required (Kahl, 1991;Koenig, Gleich, & Zwick, 1988).
