An overlapping variable linkage benchmark suite

Abstract

In this paper, a novel benchmarking suite for global realvalued evolutionary optimization is presented. It combines some merits of the Real-Parameter Black-Box Optimization Benchmarking (BBOP), the Benchmark Functions for the CEC'2010 Special Session and Competition on LargeScale Global Optimization (LSGO) and one of its extensions benchmarks in regards to fitness functions consisting of overlapping sub-problems of varying size with a varying degree of overlapping, a previously not fully investigated scenario.
