An overview of interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy information aggregations and applications

Abstract: Interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy set, generalized by Atanassov and Gargov, can be used to characterize the uncertain information more sufficiently and accurately when we face the fact that the values of the membership function and the non-membership function in an intuitionistic fuzzy set are difficult to be expressed as exact real numbers in many real-world decision-making problems. In this paper, we provide an overview of interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy information aggregation techniques, and their … Show more

“…Following the fourth step of the ARAS method and using Equation (44), the values of S, presented as interval-valued fuzzy numbers, were calculated. To perform the fifth step of the ARAS method and compute the Q values, we have to convert the interval-valued fuzzy numbers of S to Crisp numbers by using Equations (23)- (26).…”

“…Since the concept of fuzzy numbers with interval values has been presented, there has been an increasing interest of researchers in this field [43] so that it was successfully used in numerous decision-making issues in conditions of uncertainty. Briefly, there are two approaches to classify studies in this area: (1) Content Approach; (2) Applied Approach [44]. In the content approach, two main steps are considered for decision-making issues: aggregation of opinions [45][46][47] and method exploitation.…”

“…Zhao and Xu [14] presented some new synthesized interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy aggregation operators. Xu and Gou [15] made an overview of intervalvalued intuitionistic fuzzy aggregation operator. The operators above are based on the algebraic operational laws (i.e., the algebraic product and the algebraic sum) of the IVIFS.…”

“…Recently, works on granular computing are progressing rapidly. Xu and Gou [10] described an overview of interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy information aggregation techniques, and their applications in different fields such as decision-making, entropy measure and supplier selection. Das et al [11] introduced a robust decision-making approach using intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy number.…”
