An overview of the E-ELT instrumentation programme

Abstract: In this paper we present a brief status report on the conceptual designs of the instruments and adaptive optics modules that have been studied for the European Extremely Large Telescope (E-ELT). In parallel with the design study for the 42-m telescope, ESO launched 8 studies devoted to the proposed instruments and 2 for post-focal adaptive optics systems.
