Abstract: Aspergillus fumigatus is the leading causative agent of life-threatening invasive aspergillosis in immunocompromised individuals. One antifungal class used to treat Aspergillus infections is the fungistatic echinocandins, semisynthetic drugs derived from naturally occurring fungal lipopeptides.
