Abstract:In the emergency setting, the diagnosis of benign causes of acute abdominal pain can prevent unnecessary medical interventions. To illustrate this point, we report the case of a 28-year-old man who presented to the emer- gency department with symptoms suggestive of acute diverticulitis.
