“…A detailed analysis of dental materials from the Iron Age from Maiden Castle in Dorset (England) showed only one case with a mesiodens (1/403; Redfern, 2005). Single cases of supernumerary maxillary teeth were also found in Greece (Papageorgopoulou & Xirotiris, 2009), Scotland (Ives, 2014), Italy (Benazzi et al, 2010) and Texas (Broehm, Hunter, & Boyd, 2011). No mesiodens has been reported in historical materials in Poland until now.…”
