Abstract:Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a complex disease that causes a great deal of disability, especially in the young adult population. There have been several immunomodulatory agents that have been approved by the Food and Drug Administration for MS, including glatiramer acetate, interferon-β 1a and -β 1b, mitoxantrone, and corticosteroids.
