An XML-based range variation approach to render the coldness in Iowa, a North Central region, United States

Abstract: State of Iowa, in the North Central region of UnitedState of America is an agricultural rich state. It is also known as the "Food Capital of the World". NC-94 is an agricultural database of north central region in United States that facilitates crop and risk analysis, pest management and forecasting and used intensively. It is available for public use through many sources to process and analyze to get future predictions about agriculture. In this research work we exploit the use of XML as configuration support… Show more

“…A colder county is rendered using the darker shade of blue color. This work is further extended by Sharma et al in [9] where the strength of XML in spatio-temporal databases as configurable input is explored. An xml configuration file is employed as input in the visualization of coldness and the number of shapes to be rendered is controlled from there.…”

“…It is well known fact that XML is powerful to provide configuration. In [18] the potential of XML in spatiotemporal data has been explored one again at configuration level. By varying the values of range in XML configuration file, the shades of color on map can vary distinctly which is useful to the people with defected eyesight.…”

“…Colder counties are rendered using a darker shade of blue. This work is extended by Sharma et al (13), where the potential of XML as configurable input is harnessed. An XML configuration file is employed as input in the visualization of coldness and the number of shades to be rendered is controlled from there.…”
