This study aims to examine the opinions of the pre-school education teachers on ethics. The study has been designed pursuant to the qualitative and case study techniques. The study included 32 pre-school education teachers during the academic year 2020-2021. The general information form and structured questionary form, prepared by the researcher, were used to collect the data. Due to the epidemic period, the participants filled out the forms online and then sent them to the researcher. Data were transcribed in a text format and analyzed using an inductive approach. Descriptive and content analysis were used in the analysis of the data. First, similar data were combined, codes were created, and categories were reached from interrelated codes. The study's findings revealed that participants view ethics as having a social, personal, and global dimension. Moreover, the participants related professional ethics to the teachers' rules and competencies. In addition, findings showed that the participants took equality and justice as the basis for acting ethically in working with children, that they respected children’s rights and individual differences, and that they were aware of the importance of the issue of values as it was related to ethical values. Finally, it was found that participants perceived ethical violations that inadequate communication with families in the distance education process, and difficulty reaching children.

Bu araştırmanın amacı, öğretmenlerin sabır düzeylerini belirlemeye yönelik geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı geliştirmektir. Araştırma iki farklı çalışma grubu ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın birinci çalışma grubu Ordu ilinin Ünye ve Fatsa ilçelerinde basit tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemiyle belirlenen kamuya bağlı 20 ilkokulda görev yapan toplam 336 sınıf öğretmeninden; ikinci çalışma grubu ise Ordu ilinin Altınordu ilçesinde basit tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemiyle belirlenen kamuya bağlı 16 ilkokulda görev yapan toplam 257 sınıf öğretmeninden oluşturulmuştur. Veriler analiz edilirken geçerlik için açımlayıcı ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizi yapılmış, güvenirlik için Cronbach Alfa ve kompozit güvenirlik katsayıları ile madde toplam korelâsyonları hesaplanmıştır. Ölçek faktörlerinin birbirleriyle olan ilişkileri korelâsyon analiziyle test edilmiş ve ayrıca aritmetik ortalama ve standart sapma değerleri hesaplanmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda iki faktör altında toplanan 11 maddelik “Öğretmen Sabır Ölçeği” geliştirilmiştir. Ölçeğin faktörleri sırasıyla “Öğretim” ve “Etkileşim” olarak isimlendirilmiştir. Ölçekteki iki faktörün birlikte açıkladıkları toplam varyans %46.693’tür. Yapılan güvenirlik analizi sonucunda ölçeğin geneli için Cronbach Alfa katsayıları birinci ve ikinci çalışma gruplarında sırasıyla .81 ve .82 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Ölçeğin alt faktörleri için hesaplanan Cronbach Alfa ve kompozit güvenirlik katsayıları da genel olarak .70’in üzerindedir. DFA sonucunda elde edilen uyum iyiliği indeksleri modelin uyumlu olduğunu ortaya koymuştur (X2/sd=1.83, GFI=.95, AGFI=.92, CFI=.95, NFI=.91, TLI=.94, IFI=.95, RMSEA=.06, SRMR=.05, RMR=.02). Araştırmanın geçerlik ve güvenirlik analizlerinden elde edilen sonuçlar, ölçeğin Millî Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı okullarda görev yapan öğretmenlerin sabır düzeylerinin belirlenmesinde kullanılabilecek geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı olduğunu göstermektedir.

This study aims to analyze and interpret academic publications related to “academic freedom” indexed in the Web of Science database using bibliometric analysis methods. A bibliometric analysis was conducted to evaluate the academic publications on the topic of academic freedom in the field of education and educational sciences, which are indexed in the WoS database. Additionally, scientific field mapping techniques were employed. A total of 579 studies on academic freedom were identified within the field of education sciences. The various maps were analyzed in terms of specific usage types, authors, works, years of publication, and authors. The research findings indicate that Philip Altbach is the most frequently cited author. The most frequently cited research is that of African Higher Education: The Challenges for the 21st Century," The most effective source is the Higher Education Journal. The most frequently cited institution is Boston College. The United States of America is the country with the highest number of citations. To contribute to the field, it is recommended to increase the research on "academic freedom" indexed in the WoS database. Increasing the number of bibliometric analysis studies in different fields will contribute to the literature.
