Abstract:Melinjo (Gnetum gnemon L.) contains various secondary metabolites, including alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and tannins. Flavonoids function as analgesics and inhibit cyclooxygenase enzymes, which reduce prostaglandin production and pain.
