Analisa Kinerja IDSL/PUMMA untuk Peringatan Dini Tsunami di Pangandaran

Abstract: Salah satu alat untuk peringatan dini tsunami, IDSL (Inexpensive Device for Sea Level Measurement) atau PUMMA (Perangkat Ukur Murah untuk Muka Air laut) yang merupakan sebuat stasiun pasang surut real-time telah terpasang di Pantai Pangandaran sejak Oktober 2019. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa kinerja IDSL/PUMMA berdasarkan parameter-parameter penting untuk peringatan dini tsunami seperti kerapatan data, kecepatan transmisi data, kualitas gambar CCTV camera, dan kemampuan memberikan peringatan dini it… Show more

“…Larger values on latency time will influence the numbers of missing data as already discussed in the previous sub section (data gaps). Based on the analyses of latency time for IDSL in Pangandaran with a stable communication network, the IDSL's latency time under 30 seconds reached 99% [14]. This means, IDSL with a stable communication network has reached a near real-time performance.…”

“…It is a low-cost sea-level measuring system that provides several sensors to record the sea-level data and occurrences of anomalies. The PUMMA system is prepared for supporting and being integrated with the InaTEWS [4]. The sea-level rise, which can risk people residing along coastal and lowland, is a fundamental geophysical parameter pertinent to many Earth science subfields, including oceanography, geodesy, and climatology [5], [6].…”

“…Locations with frequent occurrences of the tsunami are southern Sumatra, southern Java, and the waters of Maluku and Halmahera. Several systems have been initiated based on sudden sea-level changes in the West Sumatra, Aceh, Pangandaran, and Sunda Straits, such as the Inexpensive Device for Sea Level (IDSL) monitoring (Husrin et al, 2021). In addition to disaster mitigation, evacuation routes in the prone areas do not exist, and in some cases, it does not show the proper and safe evacuation routes.…”
