Análise Da Concentração De Amônia Em Galpões De Frango De Corte Submetidos a Diferentes Dietas

Show more

“…A diet with lower protein content can also contribute significantly to the reduction of ammonia emission, since most of nitrogen consumed in the feed is eliminated in the poultry litter [42]. Inoue et al (2012) [43] analyzed the relationship between diets with levels of protein and the concentration of NH 3 inside a facility for poultry. In this study, in the facilities where the birds received diets with high levels of protein and minimal supplementation of amino acids, higher concentrations of ammonia were detected.…”

“…The volatilization of NH 3 is influenced by several factors such as temperature and relative humidity, ventilation rate and air velocity, and excretion rate and litter removal schedules [7,9]. Some studies have been published concerning strategies to control and reduce NH 3 volatilization in broiler housing, either by incorporating additives in the litter material or by dietary manipulation [2,5,[10][11][12][13][14][15]. Strategies such as the utilization of additives and the adoption of diets with lower levels of crude protein are some examples of measures that can contribute to reducing NH 3 losses in broiler production facilities [7].…”
