Entrepreneurship in nursing is an option for new work alternatives that include clinics or offices, where the nurse has the opportunity to perform in a labor environment that has been idealized and implemented by them, obtaining better functionality in the care provided by them and time flexibility. This reality can be decisive in achieving personal fulfilment in the profession because it is observed autonomy in applying knowledge. This research aimed to compile a list of the main legislations regarding the opening of a nursing office or clinic, as well as describe the main protocols that can be held in this environment. The methodology used was a retrospective bibliographic review of national territory between January 2020 and April 2024. The databases consulted were BIREME, VHL, and Google Scholar. It identified 415 citations that contained the established descriptors and excluded incomplete texts and publications in a foreign language. The selected content allowed us to identify the nurse's performance trends in their entrepreneurial practice, aiming to comprehend them from the communication models already described. This research depicted that the nursing professional is performing as an entrepreneur in a crescent number, discovering different niches of individual performance and developing satisfactory careers with flexible working hours. The relevance of the nurse's performance within the nursing office/clinic was noticeable, as well as in holding procedures supported by law that can be executed by professionals. It was evident that knowledge regarding entrepreneurship must be inserted while still at the academic stage to become aware before its performance and provide specific guidance. Thus, the growing branch of entrepreneurship in this profession is a promising career option.
