Análise de fármacos em águas por SPE-UPLC-ESI-MS/MS

Abstract: ANALYSIS OF PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOUNDS IN WATER BY SPE-UPLC-ESI-MS/MS. A method was developed for the analysis of 31 pharmaceutical compounds in Lisbon's drinking water system, using solid-phase extraction (SPE) and ultraperformance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS). The method was validated through estimation of the linearity range, method detection and quantification limits, matrix effects, precision and accuracy. The method detection and quantification limit ranges were 0.… Show more

“…Studies conducted by Kasprzyk-Hordern et al [34] in the Taff River, United Kingdom, and in the Warta River, Poland, showed that sulfamethoxazole was determined with a concentration between 26 and 60 ng•L −1 . The maximum value in surface waters for sulfamethoxazole in Portugal was 8.0 ng•L −1 in the Tejo and Zêzere rivers [14]. High concentrations of sulfamethoxazole were detected in the Nairobi River, Nigeria, and were related to the large amounts of consumption of this antibiotic in the country.…”

“…Podemos considerar a presença de compostos introduzidos recentemente no meio ambiente, os quais ainda não se conhecem seus efeitos ao ambiente e à saúde humana, e os compostos não tão recentes, que têm despertado atenção em todo o mundo devido a suspeita de seus efeitos prejudiciais causados pela exposição crônica (GAFFNEY et al, 2014).…”
