Análise Técnica E Economica Do Uso De Sais Fundidos Como HTF Em Usinas CSP De Calha Parabólica

Abstract

In this paper it was presented a possible performance improvement for concentrating solar plants using parabolic through concentrator, with the application of molten salts as heat transfer fluids. The main goal consists in taking advantage of the highest operation temperature of molten salts to increase the turbine productivity and reduce the LCOE. The plant's global performance and LCOE were analyzed using Andasol I power plant operational model developed in SAM. For the study, Dynalene MS2 and Hitec Solar Salt were used. Considering 425°C as the maximum temperature in the exit of the solar field, the MS-2 presented better overall performance, reaching a capacity factor of 43,7%. As for the solar salt, its capacity factor was of 37,7%. In terms of LCOE, the Dynalene MS2 provided a reduction of 8,65% regarding the plant LCOE reference. Due to its poor energy performance, the Hitec presented higher LCOE regarding the plant reference, about 5,76%. However, considering possible cost reductions in some systems due to the use of molten salts, in both cases, the LCOE obtained is lower to the plant standard, being 0,234 USD/kWh for the MS-2 and 0,271 USD/kWh for the Solar Salt.
