This study aims to describe and explain: (1) aspects of the textual discourse of the opinion rubric in the Solopos newspaper, (2) the contextual aspects of the opinion rubric in the Solopos newspaper, and (3) the relevance of the textual and contextual aspects of the opinion rubric in the newspaper. Solopos news with teaching materials in high school. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research design with a content analysis approach. The data in this study are in the form of words, phrases, and sentences. The data sources used in this study are documents, namely the opinion rubric of the Solopos newspaper January-February 2021 edition, and the informants are Indonesian language teachers in class XII SMA, opinion writers, and opinion editors for the Solopos newspaper. Data collection techniques used, namely document analysis and interviews. Test the validity of the data using theoretical triangulation and data source triangulation. The data analysis technique used is the agih method. The results of this study indicate that: (1) textual aspects that support the integrity and cohesion of opinion discourse consist of grammatical cohesion and lexical cohesion; (2) contextual aspects of opinion discourse can be understood using the principle of personal interpretation, the principle of locational interpretation, and the principle of temporal interpretation; and (4) the opinion rubric for the January-February 2021 edition of the Solopos newspaper can be used as an alternative material for teaching editorial texts for class XII SMA.

Cohesion and coherence are essential elements that have a role in forming structural coherence and coherence of the meaning of discourse texts. The formation of a coherent structure and semantic relationship cannot be separated from using the correct elements of cohesion and coherence, which are marked by the accuracy of using lingual units as markers of the type of cohesion and coherence. This study examines the form of cohesion and coherence in the Chinese narrative text of the daily newspaper 国际日报 Guoji Ribao November 4, 2019 edition. This study uses a qualitative approach because the data are in the form of narrative fragments in discourse texts that have elements of cohesion and coherence markers. The research results are presented in a descriptive form in the form of a description that provides a concrete, detailed, comprehensive explanation/description according to the facts and the focus of the research. Thirty-four lingual units of cohesion markers and 26 lingual units of coherence markers were found. Data collection techniques used document analysis techniques, namely, a way of collecting data by analyzing the contents of documents related to the problem under study, then presenting the results descriptively.

Permasalahan yang dihadapi para guru bahasa Jawa yang tergabung dalam MGMP kabupaten Wonosobo adalah disorientasi kedudukan sastra Jawa di antara aliran-aliran sastra dunia yang ditulis dalam bahasa Inggris. Disorientasi ini menyebabkan secara tidak langsung timbulnya inferioritas pada para pegiat sastra Jawa di mana para guru bahasa Jawa terlibat langsung di dalamnya. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat kepada mitra pengabdian adalah memberi penyuluhan mengenai kedudukan sastra Jawa modern yang bisa didapatkan dalam buku kumpulan cerkak Lintang Kemukus Gagat Rahina karya Ki Sudadi di tengah-tengah aliran sastra dunia yang ditulis dalam Bahasa Inggris. Metode yang digunakan untuk memecahkan permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra adalah dengan studi komparasi antara sastra Inggris dengan sastra Jawa dan hasil komparasi disampaikan kepada mitra pada forum diskusi. Sastra Inggris diwakili oleh karya sastra yang ada dalam buku Short Stories for Students, sedangkan sastra Jawa diwakili oleh karya sastra yang ada dalam buku Lintang Kemukus Gagat Rahina, Hasil dari kegiatan yang diperoleh adalah tersosialisasinya hasil studi komparasi, yaitu adanya kesamaan pada beberapa karya sastra Jawa dengan karya sastra Inggris, yaitu pada aliran yang disebut Kafkaesque. Peserta MGMP yang adalah guru Bahasa Jawa mendapatkan pemahaman baru bahwa sastra Jawa modern adalah bagian tidak terpisahkan dari sastra dunia. Dengan demikian perasaan inferioritas dari para guru yang berasal dari disorientasi dapat teratasi.
