Análisis correlacional de la carga cardiovascular y aspectos ergonómicos en conductores de transporte urbano

Abstract

Introduction: Conducting public service is a relevant activity in our environment; a large part of the vehicles in Colombia presents some adaptations made by the workers seeking to condition their work station. Objective: To know the characteristics of public service conduction and its impact on the health of drivers, in an urban public transport company in the city of Ibagué -Colombia. Method: Cardiovascular load was determined by taking data such as resting heart rate, work heart rate, maximum heart rate, and other important data such as age, height, and weight; these last two allow finding the body mass index. With the use of a band-type instrument with a heart rate measuring sensor, the resting heart rate and the working heart rates were calculated within the day as a response to work activity. For the study, 40 drivers were sampled, chosen under non-probabilistic sampling. They were analyzed from Spearman's Rho statistic. Results: 70 % of the participating workers
