“…One of the possible explanations could be that more conscientious adolescents are more engaged in structured activities, whereas those less conscientious are prone to less structured activities such as Internet use [46] [47]. Furthermore, other authors reported a negative correlation between Internet addiction and conscientiousness, openness to new experience, and agreeableness, and a positive correlation between neuroticism and Internet addiction [21] [38] [40] [20].
