This article aims to increase knowledge and insight into the language of power in law enforcement. Media is a means of communication to convey a message or opinion to a large audience. The language commonly used in the media often looks a little impolite or even tends to be rude. It seems that people pay less attention to the language used, hence they are not aware that their words or writing may be demanded by other readers. In this research, a qualitative descriptive method is used semantically, because the writer focuses on researching the meanings of the language used. In this case, what is meant by focusing on the meaning of research is that this research will interpret the data one by one to get the results of the research. Research data is limited to one source, namely the Novel (Dari Balik Lima Jeruji). This research is forensic linguistic research and was analyzed combining two ways, namely linguistically and legally. Linguistic analysis in this study is only limited semantically, while legal analysis uses the law. The results of this study show that there is an abuse of the language of power by law enforcement officials in upholding the law. Keywords: media, linguistic, forensic, dispensation of justice

Lingusitik forensik merupakan ilmu baru termutakhir yang digunakan untuk membantu memecahkan kasus kejahatan yang mempunyai bukti-bukti kebahasaan. baik lisan maupun tulisan. Salah satu yang menarik untuk diteliti adalah kejahatan yang meninggalkan jejak bukti kebahasaan adalah kasus pengeboman berantai yang terjadi di Amerika yang telah difilmkan dengan judul Menthunt: Unabomber. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan profil pelaku yang digambarkan dalam film Manhunt:Unabomber episode satu sampai dengan delapan. Penelitian ini dikerjakan dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan kajian linguistik forensik. Teknik pemerolehan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik simak dengan metode catat. Proses menyimak dilakukan pada saat menonton film Menthunt:Unabomber, dan proses mencatat dilakukan saat menemukan data kebahasaan yang berpotensi menjadi data penelitian. Analisis data penelitian ini dilakukan dengan triangulasi teori, yaitu analisis wacana, semantik, dan pragmatik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan jenis kejahatan yang dilakukan adalah crimes against person. Profil pelaku dalam film tersebut berupa umur pelaku, latar belakang pendidikan pelaku, dan kepribadian pelaku. Cara kejahatan dilakukan adalah dengan mengirim bom melalui surat kabar atau wesel pos.Kata kunci: linguistik forensik, kejahatan, pengeboman berantai

This study aims to identify and analyze language crimes that occur in the communication process among students on campus using a forensic linguistic approach. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method with note-taking techniques. The respondents in this study are students of the Indonesian Christian University of Toraja. The results of the study indicate that language crimes in communication among students on campus occur in several forms of verbal harassment using animal names such as bai or pig, asu or dog, buaya for crocodile, and balao for rat. In addition, there is also language crime using the bombo or devil. This can affect the mental health and well-being of the victimized students. Lecturers and student organizations have an important role as supervisors and enforcers of regulations, as well as providing education and guidance on language ethics within the campus environment.
