This study analyzes the ethics of one of the characters in the film "Pemean" through the speech and language he uses based on sociolinguistic studies. Background: this research departs from ethical problems in the use of speech used by the community when communicating in terms of the dialogues in the conversation of the film "Pemean". Objective: This study aims to provide understanding and skills in the use of speech and ethics that can be implemented properly in everyday life. Question: The question of this research is what is the relationship between speech and language through conversation used by the characters in the short film “Pemean”, which is based on people's reactions. Method: In this study, the researcher uses a qualitative method with a descriptive narrative approach, where the researcher analyzes the short film "Pemean" from the language side of the character's dialogue and relates the dialogue to the prevailing ethics in Indonesia, especially in the Java based on the results of questionnaires and interviews. Respondents are Javanese people aged between 15-30 years and understand the context of conversation and language use in the short film "Pemean". Research data: results of questionnaires and interviews as well as dialogues of the characters in the film "Pemean". Results: the analysis of this study resulted, 1) A person's speech reflects that person's behavior; 2) Most people choose to remain silent or ignore them when they find a figure like Mbak Sum's character. Recommendation: for further research, we hope that researchers can find out how a person's speech can reflect his behavior and the reason why people prefer silence in dealing with someone like Mbak Sum. Limitation: on the relationship between a person's speech and language with his behavior and attitudes taken by society in responding to similar problems as in the movie.

Bahasa memiliki berbagai ragam bentuk untuk digunakan dalam berkomunikasi yang kekhasan masing-masing dalam setiap wilayah. Salah satunya bahasa jawa yang digunakan pada bahasa sehari-hari di wilayah jawa timur dan jawa tengah. Pada bahasa jawa ini yang digunakan yakni bahasa krama. Implementasi bahasa krama yang digunakan kepada anak usia dini menemui permasalahan dikarenakan kurang adanya penerapan yang dilakukan di lingkungan, hal ini perlu adnya kajian yang mendalam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan bahasa jawa khususnya bahasa krama yang dijadikan objek pengamatan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dengan data observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahawa bahasa jawa khususnya bahasa krama dapat diterapkan kepada anak usia dini dengan pembiasaan sehari-hari yang dilakukan oleh anak dan lingkungan sekitar dalam berinteraksi.

Preservation of Javanese Language on Ganjar Pranowo's Conversation in Pandemic of COVID-19

The research aimed to see a relevance of the preservation of the Javanese language in Javanese conversations that Ganjar Pranowo carried out during the COVID-19 pandemic. The resulting data was about the level in the language that included word level, phrase level, and sentence level. Also, several manners, unggah ungguh, and ethics were produced that could become examples or role models for the people of Central Java. The research applied a qualitative method. The data source was the utterances contained in the uploads of Ganjar Pranowo in the form of video recordings that included primary data in the form of utterances or parts of spoken speech from various speeches and communications from the people of Central Java with Ganjar Pranowo. The results show that preservation of the Javanese language through conversations between leaders and the community has positive implications. This means that the preservation of the Javanese language is carried out optimally in the social sphere. This activity is well recorded and uploaded on social media, Ganjar Pranowo, a figure who has high credibility. The social sphere is an important component used to preserve Javanese language, culture, and traditions.
