Academic libraries must adapt to the development of the era. Twitter as social media can become a new form of the public sphere. The public sphere is the place where people can go for discussion without feeling restricted by the status or regulation of authorities This study aims to investigating the topics that had becoame research trends of publications related to the usage of Twitter and library service in University. This study uses a bibliometric analysis to process the secondary data. The secondary data are from Scopus website with the samples from three global university libraries, namely Harvard, Cambridge, and Airlangga University. The duration of the samples were 2016−2021 and the data were gathered using keyword search in Scopus. Those keywords were library and Twitter.There were 66 samples from Harvard University, 97 samples from Cambridge University, and 7 samples from Airlangga University. The result showed that Harvard University focused more on IOT, especially on macine learning to enhance the Twitter usage for library service. meanwhile, Cambridge university balanced between the usage of Twitter and library as their research topics. Airlangga University had few topics related to those two.
