Vasectomy or vas ligation is a method of contraception in men by cutting and tying the right and left of vas deferens with the aim of preventing spermatozoa from coming out during ejaculation. Vasectomy cannot be separated from long-term health risks, one of which is that men who undergo vasectomies have a 15% higher risk of developing prostate cancer overall.
