Abstract: Delta-aminolevulinic acid dehydratase (ALA-D) is a enzyme that participates in the pathway from 15-aminolevulinic acid (ALA) to porphobilinogen (PBG). This enzyme is relatively easy to analyze because erythrocytes can be utilized as the sample.
