ANALYSES OF PV SYSTEMS OF 1 kW ELECTRICITY GENERATION IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

Abstract: Abstract:The paper focuses on the analysis of PV systems of 1 kW electricity generation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the beginning, some information about solar energy and PV systems, renewable energies policies and physical-geographic position and climatic characteristics in Bosnia and Herzegovina are provided. Based on PVGIS program, the results of calculation of the yearly average values of the optimal panel inclination, solar irradiation on the horizontal, vertical and optimally inclined plane, ratio of d… Show more

“…Over time these systems will reduce the need to increase the capacity of the transmitting and distributive lines [5,6,[8][9][10][11]. PV system consists of solar modules, inverter converting DC into AC and switches and related connections giving the generated power into the grid net.…”

“…Also, available literature provides scarce information on the energy efficiency of PV solar plants in the Republic of Srpska, and there are not many studies presenting all factors affecting the efficiency and operation of the entire PV system. Besides, up to now there were no investigations, in real conditions, of the meteorologial parameters' influence on the energy efficiency of PV solar plants in the Republic of Srpska [2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]. In October, 2012 on the roof of the ASARS building in Banja Luka a fixed, on-grid PV solar plant was installed.…”

“…Efficiency of the commercial monocrystalline silicon solar cells is 15%, of polycrystalline silicon is around 12%, of amorphous silicon is around 5% and from CdTe and CIS is around 8%. Monocrystalline and polycrystalline silicon solar modules are more suitable for the areas with predominantly direct sun radiation, while solar modules of thin film are more suitable for the areas with predominantly diffuse sun radiation [7], [9], [12−14].…”
