Analysis and control of DC-DC Buck converter using average power balance control (APBC)

Abstract: In this paper, average power balance control (APBC) scheme is designed and analyzed for a buck converter. The proposed scheme consists of two control loops, the fast inner current loop uses sliding mode control (SMC) and outer voltage loop uses the average power balance algorithm (APBA), which contains average power balance equation (APBE) and PI controller.
