Analysis and optimal design of a vibration isolation system combined with electromagnetic energy harvester

Abstract: This work investigates a vibration isolation energy harvesting system and studies its design to achieve an optimal performance. The system uses a combination of elastic and magnetic components to facilitate its dual functionality. A prototype of the vibration isolation energy harvesting device is fabricated and examined experimentally. A mathematical model is developed using first principle and analyzed using the output frequency response function method. Results from model analysis show an excellent agreement… Show more

“…To reduce the risk of angioedema after moving from ACEI to valsartan/sacubitril, a 36-h washout period is recommended. [ 5 ] Acute and chronic heart failure should be diagnosed and treated by the 2020 ESC Guidelines. The drug is suggested as a replacement for ACE-I in ambulatory patients with HFrEF who continue to be symptomatic after receiving the best possible care from an ACE-I, a beta-blocker (BB), and a mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist (MRA).…”

“…As clean energy widely exists in the environment, vibration energy can be converted into electrical energy through electromagnetic transduction mechanisms (Foisal et al, 2012;Tran et al, 2018), piezoelectric transduction mechanisms (Hu et al, 2019;Khan and Izhar, 2016;Evans et al, 2018) and electrostatic transduction mechanisms (Daqaq, 2011). Among them, piezoelectric energy harvesters and electromagnetic energy harvesters have attracted more attention in recent decades (Abdelkareem et al, 2018;Cooley, 2017;Diala et al, 2019;Stanton et al, 2010).…”

“…VEHs are typically designed to operate at their natural frequencies. This implies excitation frequencies beyond the natural frequency reduces the efficiency of the harvester [3][4][5]. The second limitation concerns the constrained physical enclosure of the VEH, which causes the suspended mass to oscillate within a specified span [6,7].…”
