Analysis of Asymmetry Permanent Magnetic Actuators Using Finite Element Method

Abstract: This paper presents a new structure of permanent magnetic actuator (PMA), which reduces closing impact force and slows down brake speed. Based on 2D and 3D finite element analysis, this paper establishes a model that tests the force-position curves, and the electromagnetic and thermal fields are computed with the finite element analysis respectively.
