Analysis of contemporary municipal waste management practice in the Republic of Serbia

Abstract: This paper presents an analysis of the current practice in the field of municipal waste management in the Republic of Serbia. Data on generated, reused and disposed waste, collected by the Serbian Environmental Protection Agency, have been analyzed. The analysis showed that part of the generated waste is still not properly disposed of in sanitary landfills.
