Analysis of Dimensional Accuracy of Blade of Aircraft Engine Using a Coordinate Measuring Machine

Abstract: Technological process of aircraft engine turbine blades requires control of blade geometric parameters. Innovation technologies for measurement of aircraft engine turbine blades are based on coordinate numerical machines-measurement process is based on processing of numerical data obtained by measurement using coordinate measuring machines. The paper presents the opportunity of analysis of dimensional accuracy of aircraft engine turbine blades measurements using coordinate measuring machine (CMM). Coordinate m… Show more

“…The studies on the geometry of selected elements are usually carried out with the application of so-called coordinate measuring machines -CMM. An example of the study of the geometry of the blade of the engine can be found in literature (Budzik et al, 2014). The authors studied the geometry applying two independent instruments i.e., ZEISS ACCURA and WENZEL LH 87 of type CMM.…”

“…The reliability and efficiency of AOs depend to a large extent on ensuring the geometrical accuracy of their components (parts and assemblies). That is why coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and systems [1][2][3] were, and still are, the most relevant and promising in the aerospace industry. They are used in the execution of many operations of machining, assembling, measurements, as well as reengineering and control operations involving the parts and elements for the preparatory, stamping, and assembly equipment, stretching dies, surface standards, etc.…”
