Indonesia, as an archipelago, has different regional characteristics, so the problem of regional inequality cannot be avoided. The central government authorizes local governments to develop the potential of the region so that each region is required to be able to independently improve its economy. Gorontalo province, as a province of expansion in 2000, is in a strategic location that has great potential in the agricultural sector, as well as in mariculture an agriculture. The research objective is to determine the condition of economic inequality in Gorontalo province and the leading sectors in each district/city of Gorontalo province. Using time series data from 2017-2022, inequality is analyzed using the Williamson Index (IW), and to determine leading sectors, location quotient (LQ) analysis is used. The results show that the level of inequality in Gorontalo province is close to zero, which means that the condition of the level of income and welfare of the population is evenly distributed because the majority of population employment is still dominated by the agriculture, sector, which is the leading sector in Gorontalo, Boalemo, and North Gorontalo districts, and the trade sector, which is the leading sector in Boalemo and Bonebolango districts

This study reviews the development of organic farming, especially in the paddy field sector, since the introduction of Organic Agriculture Certification (SPO) in 2010. The method used The research was conducted using a qualitative approach and using the Interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM) method, while the population used for the research is in the areas of Agam Regency and Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra as well as a sample of farmer groups/individual farmers in Agam Regency and Padang Pariaman Regency who have obtained SPO certification. The results of an analysis of organic farming in Agam Regency and Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra, focus on paddy fields for several farmer groups that have been certified until 2023. This study details the growth of organic farming in West Sumatra and strategies to support sustainability in the region. Efforts such as SLAPO, PPO, and organic certification are supported by the Organic Task Force and LSO. The strategy analysis involved coordination between Provincial and Regency governments, strengthening farmer groups, active incentives, production subsidies, and wholesaler partnerships. The ISM method is used to identify priorities, including government coordination and improvement of field officers and farmers.

Equitable regional development is still difficult to implement. Many interests in determining regional development priorities make it difficult to realize the main goals of national development. Political interests and the underutilization of regional statistical data are often other obstacles in carrying out regional development. This study aims to classify regional development data to be used to analyse existing development inequalities. Gross regional domestic income (GRDP) data is the main data in this study. The researcher used the hierarchical agglomerative clustering (HAC) technique. The results of the cluster can be used as a consideration for local governments to determine future regional development priorities. In addition, visualized cluster results in the form of a dendrogram can show the proximity of development inequality between regions.
