Analysis of Formation Ronggojalu Spring and Probolinggo Active Fault Continuity with Satellite Data Gravity Method

M. Erfand Dzulfiqar Rafi,
M. Haris Miftakhul Fajar,
M. Singgih Purwanto
et al.

Abstract: The Ronggojalu spring, with a discharge intensity of more than 3,000L/second, makes it one of the spring with the most significant discharge in Indonesia and is the main supplier of clean water for the City of Probolinggo. From the observation of topographic maps, the existence of this spring forms a lineament with Paras Spring and Sumber Kramat with a direction of Northeast to Southwest. The presence of this lineament can indicate the existence of geological structures that play a role in the formation of spr… Show more

“…Natural spring waters play a crucial role in maintaining ecosystem sustainability; however, climate change, mining activities, and deforestation have led to significant alterations, impacting natural spring waters in inland regions [1]. The intricate interplay between natural and anthropogenic factors underscores the vulnerability of natural spring waters to environmental disturbances, necessitating urgent attention and strategic interventions [2]. The observed changes in natural spring water dynamics highlight the need for comprehensive conservation measures and adaptive management strategies to mitigate the adverse effects of environmental stressors and safeguard these vital resources [3].…”

“…Data in geomorphological mapping can produce morphological patterns of lineaments and contour patterns. Lineament is a linear phenomenon on an object on the earth's surface, which is interpreted through remote sensing technology or aerial photography (Neto et al, 2022;Rafi et al, 2023;Wahyuningsih et al, 2019). The lineament phenomenon reflects areas of discontinuity in rocks, such as cracks, joints, and faults, which are morphologically part of developing hill valleys (Owolabi et al, 2021;Supriatno et al, 2017).…”
