Analysis of hybrid power plant scheduling system diesel/photovoltaic/microhydro in remote area

Abstract: Currently, diesel generators that are still operating must be hybridized with renewable energy in order to save fuel expenditure. In addition, the generator scheduling system is also a solution to save fuel. This study aims to schedule the operation of a hybrid power plant diesel/photovoltaic/microhydro in the village of Rumah Sumbul in serving the load needs in order to obtain the best and economical system combination that is able to serve the needs of a continuous electrical load. Based on the results of th… Show more

“…Analysis of solar energy potential based on different locations and technologies is carried out to determine the amount of energy that can be produced [11], [12]. The potential for hybrid implementation between WT and PV is possible to support the process of providing electricity sources [13]. The study also supports the analysis in the implementation of the provision of electrical energy from renewable energy sources in the process of charging electric vehicles [14], [15].…”

“…The created hybrid power system (HPS) type includes a diesel generator, battery, modest hydropower, and solar photovoltaic system, and it will act as a guideline for power system engineers as they examine the viability of HPS and create the best design for rural electrification [7]. Fodhil in his research from 2018, provides a methodology for an autonomous hybrid PV-diesel-battery energy system's optimization and sensitivity analysis [9]. Hutasuhut plans to schedule the operation of a hybrid power plant diesel/photovoltaic/micro-hydro in Rumah Sumbul In order to find the most efficient system combination that can meet the needs of a continuous electrical load in 2022, and the diesel/micro-hydro combination is also more costeffective [9].…”

“…Pengoperasian pembangkit merupakan biaya terbesar dalam sistem tenaga listrik sehingga sangat diperlukan cara pengoperasian pembangkitan yang efisien (Kristanto et al, 2014). Solusi bagi produsen listrik terbarukan untuk menekan biaya operasi adalah dengan menentukan aliran daya yang optimal (optimal power flow) dari sumber energi terbarukan yang ada (Hutasuhut et al, 2022).…”
