Abstract:<div>Field data has shown that belt-positioning boosters help reduce the risk of
injury to children in a crash. This study builds on prior submarining work
(Slusher et al. 2022) and aims to analyze kinetic metrics (which can be easily
recorded from anthropomorphic test devices in crash tests) in submarining and
non-submarining conditions for a 6-year-old pediatric human occupant in frontal
