Abstract:In the present paper, we study nonresonant corrections for experimental measurements of the transition frequencies in the helium atom. Having attracted more attention, such effects can make a significant contribution to experiments based on one-and two-photon atomic spectroscopy. The quantum interference effects in the measurements of n 3 S 1 − 3 3 D 1 (n = 3, 4, 5) transition frequencies based on Doppler-free two-photon spectroscopy, are considered as a possible source of current discrepancy between the exper… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
