Abstract: This paper presents optimal rotor permanent magnet (PM) and rotor pole-piece skew to improve the total harmonic distortion (THD) of the back electromotive force (Back-EMF) in magnetic geared permanent magnet synchronous motor (MG-PMSM) for traction.
