Analysis of parameters of railway bridge vibration caused by moving rail vehicles

Abstract: The durability and endurance of the exploitation of railway bridges depend on the intensity and the manner of the static and dynamic loads affecting them. Heavy freight trains passing the bridges cause huge vertical and dual-axis vibrations, which are evidenced by the fatigue of the construction of the bridge. The scatter of the acceleration intensity of the railway bridge vibratory oscillation and their parameters are analysed while applying the theory of covariation functions. The results of the measurements… Show more

“…In this standard, it was also noted that the recommended maximum values of span acceleration, determined along each track, should not exceed 3.5 m/s 2 in the case of tracks laid on ballast. The issue of bridge vibrations has been raised in many research papers, including [ 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 ].…”

“…Of existing quantitative analysis methods including regression analysis, decision tree, Pareto diagram, and factorial design, global sensitivity analysis (GSA) method can evaluate the influences on contact resistance with the randomization of multiple assembly errors. [18][19][20][21] However, this method regularly requires a large number of data samples to achieve accurate estimation of influence degrees, which makes it impractical for some complex relationships. 22 To overcome this shortcoming, this paper attempts to collect more data samples through secondary development of the simulation model, and proposes an improved global sensitivity analysis (IGSA) method to evaluate the influence between assembly errors and contact resistance more efficiently.…”
