To help with the effort tu increase the rate 〔 〕f surface coverage I〕f vacuum insulation panels (VIPs) , which pmvide high insulation eMciency , we has ・ equantitatively investigated the re 】 atlonship between the lncrease m thermai conductivity agains 亡 亡 he s亡 rain generated when VIPs with mult 〒 ble fi ] m ] ayers were bent. We used the results l 〕y using a c 畳 〕mmerciat structural software to devek 〕 p a method for predic し ing the amoun1 〔) f strain in VIPs constructed of m し11tiple film] ayers when they are bent. Testing Clemenstrated that it can predict the arnount ()f strain to within ' L− 3. 1g≦for variou $ VIP g . hapes and inoiding meth ⊂ 〕ds. This hjgh level of accuracy wHI help increase the rate of surface coverage alld thus help in the effort to conserve energy in various Helds.
