Analysis of reliability of systems with component-wise storages

Abstract: Time redundancy is a method of increasing the reliability and efficiency of the operation of systems for various purposes, in particular, energy systems. A system with time redundancy is given additional time (a time reserve) for restoring characteristics. In this paper, based on the theory of semi-Markov processes with a common phase space of states, a semi-Markov model of a two-component system with a component-wise instantly replenished time reserve is constructed. The stationary reliability characteristics… Show more

“…In this paper, first, a semi-Markov model [8][9][10][11][12] of an autonomous WDC is constructed, which makes it possible to calculate the stationary and temporal characteristics of reliability. Then, following the methodology proposed by the authors [18], a hidden Markov model [15][16][17] is developed on its basis, which is used to solve forecasting problems and evaluate its characteristics, taking into account the given parameters.…”

“…Time redundancy [1][2][3][4][5][6] provides the system with the ability to use up some additional time (time reserve) to restore performance during operation. For systems with time redundancy, a malfunction of the system is not necessarily accompanied by a system failure, since it is possible to restore the system's operability for a reserve time.…”
